Loading Systems — Van Dock Leveller

The Loading Systems Combidock and Stepdock systems solve a problem that conventional dock levellers cannot address: loading bays that must serve both large semi-trailers and small delivery vans from the same dock position. A conventional dock leveller can bridge the height gap between the dock floor and a truck bed — but the deck height of a small delivery van is typically well above dock level, making a conventional leveller unable to bridge the gap at all without additional equipment.

The Combidock allows a single loading bay to serve vehicles of all heights — from large B-double semi-trailers to light commercial delivery vans — without the need for a separate ground-level van ramp or a dedicated low-floor dock bay. In logistics facilities, supermarket distribution centres and food distribution warehouses where the mix of vehicle types changes daily, this flexibility eliminates the vehicle queuing and bay allocation management that dedicated dock and van-ramp configurations create.
