Blast Protection for Critical Infrastructure and Hazard Zones

Developed in partnership with ABS Consulting (USA) and validated through full-scale shock tube testing, Gliderol® Blast Shutters are tested to mitigate explosions without generating debris. Two models available: PL1 (blast mitigating) and PL2 (blast resistant with automated anchoring).

Hold Fast Industries is the only authorised distributor of Gliderol® blast-rated shutters in Australia and New Zealand.

Performance Levels:

  • PL1: Withstands up to 75kPa pressure / 1050kPa-ms impulse
  • PL2: Withstands up to 40kPa pressure / 500kPa-ms impulse

Design:

  • Horizontal steel connector rods
  • Vertically tethered curtain system to reduce deflection
  • Certified by high-speed camera validation and FEA analysis

Applications: Refineries, military bases, explosive risk areas
