Finger Pinch Protection as Standard

All HFIS40 panels include finger pinch protection up to the rotating point at 2,500mm — the legally required safety feature that prevents fingers being trapped between panels during operation. Standard on every door supplied by HFI.

40mm PU Foam Insulation — U-value 1.4 W/m²K

40mm steel sandwich panels with fire-resistant polyurethane foam insulation (no CFCs). U-value of approximately 1.4 W/m²K — sufficient for most standard industrial applications. Galvanised steel outer skin with polyester coating for long-term weather resistance.

All Industrial Track Systems Compatible

The HFIS40 is compatible with all industrial track systems — standard track, high vertical lift and low headroom configurations. Custom-made to the required width up to 9,000mm, making it adaptable to virtually any industrial opening.

Finger Pinch Protection as Standard

The HFIS40 is Hold Fast Industries’ standard 40mm insulated sectional overhead door — the workhorse of the HFI sectional range and the most widely specified overhead door in Australian industrial loading bay applications. Built from 40mm steel sandwich panels with fire-resistant polyurethane foam insulation, the HFIS40 delivers reliable thermal separation, structural security and long service life across high-cycle industrial applications.

An overhead sectional door is closed for more than 90% of its operational life — which means its insulation performance matters far more than most operators initially appreciate. A well-insulated, well-sealed sectional door contributes meaningfully to the building thermal envelope, reducing heating and cooling loads in the adjacent warehouse or loading bay throughout the year.
