What Is a Loading Systems Dock Lift?

A Loading Systems dock lift is a hydraulic lifting platform that enables forklift and pallet jack loading between ground level and dock height — the correct solution for facilities where the building structure prevents conventional dock leveller installation, or where a ground-level loading position must also serve fork-level docking without a recessed pit. Dock lifts bridge the gap between ground and dock floor, creating a working loading surface at dock height from a ground-level vehicle position.

Some facility configurations make conventional dock leveller installation impossible: buildings on slab-on-ground where no pit can be excavated, heritage-listed structures where structural modification is prohibited, facilities where the dock level is more than 1,200mm above ground (beyond the working range of most levellers), and retrofit applications where the dock face has been previously modified in ways that preclude leveller installation. In all of these cases, a dock lift provides the height-bridging function that a leveller would otherwise serve.
